What is a tontine?
A tontine was one of history's first insurance products. First formalized in 17th-century Europe, a group of people pool their money, and as members drop out, the remaining participants share a growing pot.
For centuries, tontines funded roads, bridges, and early public infrastructure.
They fell out of favor, at least in part, due to the perverse incentives created by winning by virtue of others' failures.

Tontive uses AI-powered photo verification, IOT data, and immutable blockchains (coming soon) to confirm real-world actions – analyzing images for context, consistency, and authenticity. Location data adds confidence.
Over time, this builds a Tontive Score: a portable behavioral reputation earned through verified action.
